In planning their trip to MIPCOM, Dominique Zgarka is excited. “We are very pleased with the results from our first visit to MIPTV. Michel Zgarka, who has attended MIP for over twenty years, convinced us last year that we needed to be there to grow our film library. It was like a kid being in a candy store. Our goal for MIPCOM is to continue to license French classic movies but to also seek out other classic films and documentaries from around the world. We are totally open to licensing all forms of repertoire we feel is sellable in our market. We will also be very aggressive on digital rights acquisitions and will also test the waters on broadcast by selecting a few key properties.”
In related news, Koch Vision is pleased to be adding Montreal-based JPO and Miami-based SKD to its family of distributed labels. Both labels specialize in classic films and will start releasing films by... or with.....via Koch Vision. Darren Throop says, “The addition of the Koch Classics, JPO and SKD catalogues are great additions to our already strong base of classic and art films. They compliment what we have already achieved via our Koch Vision and Koch Lorber divisions.”
